I created these Big Bold illustrations to challenge beauty norms. They embrace imperfection through loose lines and vibrant colour, celebrating freedom, confidence, and self-expression.
With this piece, I wanted to transform everyday urban density into a joyful celebration of community and playful human connection. I kept things light and fun with a limited palette of warm primary colours and loose, messy lines to give it a traditional yet playful feel. The exaggerated long arms stretching between the characters were my favourite detail — they really show how we reach out and link up with one another.
This piece captures a woman guarding herself from love and the pain of a broken heart; choosing self-protection and emotional boundaries after past heartbreak. It’s gentle, witty, and relatable to many readers. This illustration works for any project exploring emotional self-protection, healing, and modern love. I chose two contrasting colours to emphasise our struggle we sometimes face between love and heartbreak.
The Art of Togetherness is a piece I did to celebrate human connectedness. In a world that often glorifies independence, coming together creates strength, hope and belonging. I chose a two-toned colour palette to emphasis that despite our differences (shown in different textures and styles) we are connected through our similar and simple human traits of empathy and love.
This illustration was created to celebrate the love, community, kindness and beautiful diversity that Ramadan brings. A reminder that we are deeply connected to one another, no matter our background. This was a special message for me to share as I created this piece during the war in the Middle East.
I created these mockups to show how my illustrations work in real print and digital editorial contexts. I also like to play with watercolour styles in areas of food and urban design.
