Illustrator and Storyteller
This illustration, titled Torino Daydreams, was chosen to be exhibited at Arteaporte in Torino, Italy. I created this piece digitally, using layered textures and primary colours to evoke the charm and depth of traditional media and feelings of being a child again. My aim was to capture both the playful magic of childhood imagination while drawing inspiration from a lively, artistic city like Torino. The piece reflects the idea that even in a bustling city, we don’t have to leave our inner child behind; there is always room for wonder, curiosity, and delight.
Character design of a bear that enjoys snacking a bit too much and ends up needing to go to the dentist. I played with expressions and humour to make the bear relatable and likable to kids.
Tumi is a character I created that faces a big task of painting a wall. These pieces focus on Tumi with different emotional expressions and also educates the reader about the African Ndebele tribe whose wall paintings are a precious part of their culture.
A series of illustrations I did to celebrate Bahrain’s culture and craftmenship with their unique pottery. I explore themes of cultural diversity and family in whimsical story scenes.
A series of illustrations I did for my picture book, “The Whale Who Lost His Tail” (in process of being self-published). It’s a humourous tale of a silly whale that gets into a bit of trouble but his friends are there to help him along the way.
